Amanda Tuohy '23 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play basketball at the next level while furthering my education with a career path in mind. I have really grown to love basketball and playing it throughout my life has contributed to my success on and off the court. I've always been very competitive and want to succeed in every thing I do, which drives me to work hard in order to accomplish my goals. I love just being able to play and not have to think or worry about anything else. I have been told that I am a leader not only on the court, but in and out of school as well. 

I was voted varsity captain as only a sophomore which goes to show that my teammates trust me and look up to me. With my high school team, I have played every position multiple times and I go where my coach needs me. Playing multiple sports year round has showed me that I am able to deal and balance a lot of things at one time, and that I can deal with the pressure of needing to do well. Sports have been a big part of my life ever since I can remember and I am looking forward to continue my athletic career at the next level.
