Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Alexandra (Allie) Mosca and I am a junior member of the class of 2025.  I am the varsity starting point guard on my high school team and have been for the past two years. Last season, Horace Greeley High school (class A) in Chappaqua, New York. Our team had a winning season for the first time in many years, and as a starter I was a consistent contributor to that effort. I also played on the varsity team as Freshman and was the sixth player all of last season, where I played many minutes in all games.

I currently play on the PDHoops AAU team. I have played AAU basketball since I was in third grade, and played for my community team travel program all years available. I was  voted most valuable player every year playing community basketball, and have won many awards at various basketball camps. When I was younger I also was a stand out lacrosse player and decorated swimmer, but basketball is my passion and I have decided to devote myself entirely to the game. I am currently playing girls flag football as the starting quarterback in our inaugural season.

I am a point guard with strong ball handling skills, excellent court vision, athleticism, and work hard to make sure that my teammates are a large part of my game. I have quick speed and move well at all times. I can shoot from anywhere on the court, but am also just as satisfied to pass the ball to a teammate so they can score. It is more important to me that my team wins then it is that I am the star.

I would like to attend a college that offers a strong basketball program and an excellent educational experience. I am a great teammate, coachable, and always work hard to  improve my game. I am excited to begin this journey.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
