Hi, my name is Kimberly Gomez. I am a junior in high school. The main reason why I play basketball is that it lets me work in a team environment , and how we all work together is amazing. Being on a team is not all about winning or who brought the team to victory its about living in the moment. Another main reason why I love and enjoy playing basketball is because I know I can get somewhere by being productive and in a good environment. I started playing basketball my 8th grade year on the modified team, and I was not the greatest but I worked hard. Then when I got into high school I was not going to do basketball but a gym teacher told me to so I was okay ill give it a try and little did I know that with a little hard work and me believing in myself I could play. Then my sophomore year I was a starter on the JV team and it was fun I worked hard on what I needed and what I didn't need I still worked on it. In my junior year I played in the beginning of the year but in a game I broke my ankle and was out the rest of the season but I'm getting back on my feet and working hard to get back into what I love.
