Why I love Basketball: I’ve been playing since I was 5 yrs old. My team is my family, the girls are my sisters. We’re one unit on and off the court. My "travel ball family" has been together since we were in 2nd and 3rd grade. My coaches invest a lot of time in me, helping make me a better player, leader and person. I love the feeling of a good competitive game.
Most Memorable Basketball Experience: My most memorable experience was my Sophomore year during our 2016/2017 Varsity season. Our team made it to the Final 4 in the NCHSAA West Regional Finals which were held at Wake Forest University. As we were walking through the tunnel from the locker room to the court, it was the most amazing feeling I’ve ever had. I’ve always known that I wanted to play basketball in college, but at that moment it hit me that this is real.
Work Ethic: I try to give everything I can every time I hit the court in practices and games so that I can continue to improve. If I make a mistake, I take responsibility for it and learn from it. I'm always respectful to my coaches, teammates, officials and spectators. I love learning new things and continuing to develop my skills. I love a challenge and always being pushed to work towards more aggressive goals. One of the toughest challenges is learning to play down low on Post when needed. It's made me a much stronger player, playing against girls much bigger than me. It's also made me a better guard because I have a good understanding of the post positions.
Planned College Major: Pre Med, Sports Medicine
Career Goal: I want to study Sports Medicine. I love basketball and other sports and have always wanted to be a doctor. Injuries are hard on athletes both physically and mentally, having to take time off from something they're so passionate about. I really want to be in a career where I can help people through difficult times.
Hobbies: Playing sports, hanging out with friends and family, traveling
Favorite Color: Lime Green and Teal
Favorite Food: Pickles
Favorite Movie: Love and Basketball
