Dajha Williams '18 Recruiting Profile

As a student athlete every time I step foot to play, I play with heart. As long as I can remember my immediate family members have encouraged me to play every game as if it were my last and that's what I do. Sports have always been a driving force in my life since I started participating at age 4.   I can still remember my first parka and recs game of basketball and no one in my family thought I could play basketball. I scored the first shot of the game and from that day my heart pounds for the competitiveness of some type of ball. Basketball is my true passion but I have excelled in volleyball, soccer, cross country, and softball. 

Sports are are key factor in my life and I am aware that none of this would be possible without excelling in academics. I look at sports as an additional subject in school. I work hard in the classroom and on the court to ensure my success in both. I can't imagine a life without sports,so that's why I want to work towards sports medicine. I feel that all the things I have learned over the years sets me apart from other players. Sports are just like education, it is something that can not be taken away from you once you have it. A true love of the sport will forever be apart of a true athlete.
