Hi Coaches,
My name is Emily Gay, and I am excited to be going into my final year at Ashbury College in Ottawa, Ontario. I have played basketball for 7 years and I am ready to pursue my career at the university level. I have played competitively for 6 years and have played high school varsity since Grade 9. Last year, I was a selected MVP for my high school team, and was chosen for the city All Star team. My club team finished 5th in the province and I was proud to be selected to the provincial OBL All Star team. I hope to play at a school that fits me best both athletically and academically.
I am a great candidate for your team because I am respectful, engaging and a fun person to be around. My coaches have told me I am very coachable, dependable, possess excellent vision with a high basketball IQ, and perform well under pressure. I am a play maker, and admired for my sportsmanship. Off the court, I am organized with great time management skills. Academics are a very high priority. My teachers commend my stellar work ethic. I value my academics as my top priority and still manage to be successful in basketball as well. I try hard to learn from my mistakes and am willing to take criticism from coaches to improve my game. Basketball has helped develop me into a confident individual. I hope to play at the next level with a team that will challenge me to be the best I can be, on and off the court.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Emily Gay
