Personal Statement

My name is Julia Olson and I am a junior at Scituate High School. I have been playing basketball since first grade, and at a competitive level since third grade. I play basketball all year long. I have an overwhelming love for the sport of basketball. I am a starter on the girls varsity team for Scituate High School. I am also a starter on my AAU team, the Huskies, (formerly the Ocean State Panthers).

My academic dreams are to become a nurse. I am fully committed to this path. In addition, I would love to be fully committed to my basketball career. I want to make my college experience meaningful for me by pursuing my basketball career past high school. I love playing basketball and excel at being part of a team.

My future goals are to finish high school, gaining as much knowledge as I possibly can and earning the highest grades possible. I plan to continue with basketball by playing the best game that I can and working hard to be part of the amazing team culture that I have been fortunate enough to have found. I am looking forward to finding a college that will provide me with the tools that I need to be a successful nurse in the future. I am also looking forward to becoming the best basketball player that I can be. I would love to become part of a team where I can make a difference and be an asset.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
