Addison Oglesby '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Addison Oglesby, and I’m a  6’0 tall Freshmen Forward at Blacksburg HS in South Carolina.  Since I was 7 years old and discovered that my height was a decided advantage playing basketball my love for the game has only grown.  I have been fortunate to have a former women’s college basketball star and current women’s college basketball coach as my individual skill development coach when I was 10.  Having her encourage and help my development gave me the confidence to continue to work and improve.  As a 7th grader I made the JV team at my HS and made the Varsity team as an 8th grader.  As a Freshman I again made our Varsity team that made it to the final four in the State Championship Tournament.  
As a student I currently have 4.79 GPA. I know that the ability to accomplish two of my major goals in life: getting a college degree,  and playing college basketball, require me to continue to keep my grades as my first priority. I hope to use my time playing in college to earn a degree in Math and Education, so that I can continue to apart of a team  and the game I love, as a teacher and a coach. My work ethic,  passion for the game, and desire to be apart of a successful team will make me a dependable addition to any college program I am fortunate enough to be apart of in the future.
