Maddie Heathcott '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maddie Heathcott and I am a senior at John Paul II Catholic School. I have played basketball for as long as I can remember, and my passion for the sport has only grown as I've experienced higher competition. I believe what defines an athlete is her hustle and perseverance. I may not always be the player who stands out the most on the court, but I am always determined to be a reliable teammate. I put in 110% effort into everything I do, reminding myself that a small mistake does not define my entire gameplay, and that the success of the team is far more important than the success of an individual. I balance my athletics and academics, devoting myself to each whenever I am in their respective environments. My biggest aspiration as a prospective college athlete is to simply play the sport that I love. I wish to improve alongside my fellow teammates, becoming a strong unit which supports each other on and off the court. I am looking forward to playing basketball in college as I know that I will still have a great passion for the game.
