Lizzie Olson '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lizzie Olson.  My real name is Elizabeth, but most call me Liz, or Lizzie. I am a sophomore at Garretson High School, South Dakota. I absolutely love basketball. I am always in the gym shooting, doing ball handling, post moves, and driving while my dad plays defense on me. I have started as a freshman and sophomore and play positions 3, 4, and 5, and enjoy all three positions. I was my team's leading scorer my freshman and sophomore seasons.  I also play summer AAU ball for the SD Attack 2021 team.

I am an unselfish player, and I like working with my team. I have respect for my team and coaches and have a great work ethic. I love providing enthusiasm for my team. I continue to improve on my shooting as I start to develop my outside shots, as well as ball handling.

I also do very well academically and put in the time needed to excel in the classroom. I maintain a high GPA, and am a multi-sport athlete. I work hard to get good grades, and do the best I possibly can. I also love helping others reach their goals, and become the best they can be.

I would love to play for a team that is very family orientated, and works really well together. I want to play for someone that will always push me to be the very best I can be on and off the court, and one the will be there through the ups and downs. I would like to play for a school where the community is excited and supportive of the success of the team. I also really think it is important to stress being the best version of yourself, and working your hardest each and every day.
