Hello, my name is Macy Koupal and I am currently a Freshman at Wagner Community School. I am a multi-sport athlete who loves to compete. I am currently participating in basketball, volleyball, and track and field. My passion is, without a doubt, basketball. I grew up watching both my mom and dad coach and have lived on the court from day one. I also take my academics very seriously, sitting at a 4.0. I have already taken an advanced math class and like to challenge myself in the classroom almost as much as on the court. I was fortunate enough to get some playing time with the varsity team my 8th grade year. It was a great experience for me and helped me find some areas of weakness that I have continued to work on to create a well-rounded game. I have and can play pretty much every position on the court, depending on what is needed. If my team struggles to bring the ball up the court against pressure, I’m called on to help out. If we need to sub some bigs out, I have also played post. In addition to being a strong offensive player, I am a competitor that also helps on defense. My size puts me in the perfect range to steal from a point guard or box out with a rebound against a post player. I have been attending multiple camps and am a member of the SD Attack traveling team, so there is never an off-season for me. Competition is in my heart and I can't wait to grow and share my passion with you. As far as education goes, I aspire to become an optometrist. I have had this goal since I was young and will strive throughout my college years to see this dream become a reality. I would love the opportunity to visit with you and your staff to see if I would be a good fit for both your college and your basketball team. Thank you for your time, Macy.
