Personal Statement

Hi, my name is Megan. I am 18 years old and a Senior in high school in Texas. I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. Basketball is my favorite thing to do because I am good at it, it relaxes me, and has helped me to make great friendships. I play basketball competitively and just for fun. For example, during middle school dances I spent all of my time playing basketball in the gym with the boys while all of my other friends were dancing. I can be a shooting guard, a point guard, and a small forward. My goal has always been to play basketball in college.

I would make a good candidate for your team because I am hardworking and inspired to play basketball in college. I am also able to maintain my grades while focusing on playing basketball. What makes me different from every other recruit is that I love to compete and am dedicated to play and succeed on the court and in life.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
