Hi, my name is Abigail Fuerst. I am a 6'3" post player and I am interested in playing collegiate basketball. I work hard, am a team player and have solid morals and values. I am also very serious about my academic achievements. Recently, I have become a member of the National Honor Society. I have found high school to certainly be a lesson in time management. I've been managing the demands of my academic and athletic schedule. Currently, my weighted GPA is a 4.19. During my time in high school, I have also managed to participate on the varsity basketball and sub-varsity track teams while achieving honors in both sports such as 6A-All-District Honorable Mention and 6A-Sub-Varsity District Champion in both shot put and discus.
During my freshman and sophomore years, I attended Cypress Woods High School and played varsity basketball and sub-varsity track both years. At the beginning of my junior year, I transferred to Klein Cain High School. Due to the change of schools, the UIL has found me ineligible to participate at the varsity level this year. Therefore, I am being required to play at the sub-varsity level at Klein Cain during my junior year.
I am looking for an academically challenging college where I can find the right balance between the classroom, court, and fun! My ideal athletic environment would be where I could make an impact on the team as quickly as possible. I am looking forward to playing and studying in college and at the current time will not rule out any opportunities.
I greatly appreciate your consideration and interest.
Abbey
