My 7th grade year is when I decided to try basketball for the first time and then this sport became a passion for me. I learned how to take leadership and be a leader to others. Even when it wasn’t my time to lead, I learned to accept the guidance that was ahead of me and follow the way I needed to.
I’ve prioritized basketball the same as I’ve done my academics. Graduating high school has became a top goal for me. After high school I made it a goal to take it a step further. Not only do I want to find a home to continue my athletic career, but also a place where I can continue my academic career. Planning for the future, I hope to achieve a bachelor’s degree and work my way into becoming a dental hygienist.
Going through the process of looking for a college, I know I want to be apart of a family. Somewhere with people with the same aspiration to win and work as hard as me. My hearts big, and I’ll do whatever It takes to make myself better and to help the people around me. I always knew there would be someone out in the world that’s better than me at something, but quitting has never been an option for me. My dad always told me how my rare talent will only get me so far, and how I need to develop and have a strong work ethic. My dedication an ambition is rare. Both traits will continue to grow with the new challenges that come to face me.
