Hi, my name is Amaia Najera I am currently a Junior at Grady High School in Lenorah Texas. I have played basketball since I was 4 years old and have grown up around basketball players my entire life. During my fifth and sixth grade seasons I was a starter. My freshman year I made it on Varsity, and I started on Varsity my sophomore year. I was awarded Second team All-District my freshman season, and First Team All-District honorable mention my sophomore season. I have played club ball with West Texas Wildkats since my eighth-grade summer. While basketball is something I love with my whole heart I am very dedicated to my education as well, I am taking two dual credit classes this school year, while also participating in student council, CX debate, and events in academic UIL such as Literary Criticism, Spelling, and Current events. My collegiate goals are to become a coach, while also getting my major in English. I am a good candidate for college teams because i am extremely dedicated, competitive, and will always put in extra time and effort to get better.
