Personal Statement

  • From a young age,  my collegiate goals and aspirations have been to play college basketball.  This is something that has not changed throughout the years.  In fact this desire has continued to grow stronger.  It is something I now realize will take a lot of endurance on and off the court, but it is a passion that I would like to continue to pursue.  I would also like to get my degree in a Sports related field.  I am interested in Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy or Sports Management.
  • I would say that what makes me a good candidate for a college team, is that I understand the game of basketball & am interested in constantly learning more about the game.  I am not afraid of the work that it takes to get better during the season, but also during the off-season.  I also realize that an important part of the game is being coachable, and so I strive to be a player who listens and makes adjustments.
  • A few areas that make me different from other recruits are that I respect authority, whether it be coaches or officials.  I am honest, and mature for my age. I also exhibit self-control on and off the court, and am not easily flustered.  In academics, I have a good work ethic.  I am faithful about my homework and class attendance.  If there is something I don't understand, I ask for help. I enjoy school, and am motivated to keep my grades up.  In basketball, I am very versatile. I can play inside or outside.  I am also an unselfish player.  If a teammate has a better shot than I do, I will pass it to her.  I would consider myself a team player.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
