I started playing Basketball when I was in fifth grade and instantly fell in love with it. Ever since, I have been going to summer camps and constantly working to improve my game. When I got to High School I was a starter on Varsity and earned many district, regional, and state awards. My freshman year I was First Team All Region, District Newcomer of the Year, and All West-Texas Newcomer of the Year. As a Sophomore, I earned All-state honors, First team All-region, and First team All-district. My junior year, I led my team to the State tournament for the first time in school history making the All-state tournament team, with a 17pt 13rb double double in the State Semi-final game. I also earned First team All-state, THSCA Super Elite Team, Regional MVP, and District MVP. Moreover, I reached over 1000 career points and 500 rebounds and broke the school record with 502 points in a single season.
Furthermore, I am involved in other sports including Track and Field as well as Tennis. My freshman year I got third at state in girls' singles, and was an alternate for the girls' state relay team. As a Sophomore, I got second at state in Mixed Doubles and received the USTA Sportsmanship award. I was also an alternate for the girls' state relay team. My junior year, I was State Champion in 1A Mixed Doubles. Furthermore, i was on our girls 4x200 that got 6th at state, and our 4x100 that got 4th.
I have also been a varsity cheerleader since joining high school and last year I was selected as a Drum Major for our State-winning marching band. These experiences have taught me valuable leadership skills that I carry with me onto the court.
Academically, I am number one in my class with my lowest grade being a 98. I have taken multiple duel credit classes, received a bronze medal at state on the mathematics team, and have made it to regionals the past three years in UIL writing events.
I plan to attend a four-year college in order to get an undergraduate degree in business management or business law. After this, I plan to attend law school in order to one day become a corporate lawyer.
Throughout my high school career I have been able to successfully perform on the court as well as in the classroom. This pressure has prepared me for the difficulties of being a collegiate student-athlete and taught me productive time-management skills. As the oldest of four girls, I also understand how to be a role model and leader everywhere I go. I understand that my goals will be difficult to achieve, but I've never been one for the easy route. I will give my all in whatever I do.
