My name is Kennadi Wheeless. I am from the graduating class of 2022. I am currently enrolled into Veribest High School, east of San Angelo Texas . I am a 5'7 shooting guard. I started my first basketball program in 1st grade at the local YMCA, then moved on to my select travel team in the 5th grade, played junior high ball and will continue through high school. Basketball has been my passion ever since. Currently, I'm very strong in the forward area and improving my 3-point shot every chance I get. I take pride in my hard work-ethic and devotion to the game. I am also involved in volleyball and track. I am not only dedicated in not only becoming a successful athlete, but student as well. This year I received an overall 3.8 GPA in high school, along with a 3.9 in dual credit college courses. I am active in National Honor Society and Student Council. I have set really high goals for myself. I want to attend a college and play on a basketball team where both will challenge me to grow into the best person I can be on and off the court. Commitment to setting and achieving goals for all areas of my life is a part of my DNA. Providing encouragement and caring support to family, friends, and teammates is very important to me. I am currently engaged in ongoing training and conditioning effort to attain the necessary skill set to succeed at a college level. This past year in the 2019-2020 season, me and my team got the opportunity to play at our very first state tournament ever in Veribest history, right before COVID-19.Creating a future through the game I love would be an unbelievable experience. I look forward to working hard and becoming the best player I can be. My Freshman and Sophomore year, I received both First Team All-District and All-State honors. I also received First Team All-Region, All-West Texas Team, and All West Texas MVP. In my Junior year I received Offensive MVP of my district, All-Region, All-State for TGCA and TABC, and All-West-Texas Team MVP. A dedication to learning, strong work ethic, motivation, flexibility, and persistence are some of the character traits I would bring to my college community. I hope that is only the start of what's to come in my future.
