I have been playing basketball since I was in the first grade and became completely in love with it from the moment I scored my first basket. Up until my junior year of high school, I have played for the Victoria Lady Cobras homeschool basketball team and have had the opportunity to go to the THSSBC (Texas HomeSchool State Basketball Championships) and NCHBC (National Christian HomeSchool Basketball Championships) with my team. During all my years of playing for the Lady Cobras, I was named MVP multiple times throughout many tournaments, as well as MVP at the end of several seasons. I started attending Faith Academy as a junior after being offered a basketball scholarship to play for their team. After my first year of playing for the Faith Academy Cougars, I have been presented with the Offensive Player Award and was selected for First-Team All-District.
I also am involved in track and field at my school. As a first-year junior competing in T&F, I was named the Regional and State Athlete of the Meet. At the TAPPS State Meet, I took home gold in long jump, silver in the 200m dash and triple jump, and bronze in the 400m dash. During the summer of 2019, I competed in AAU T&F. I qualified for the Junior Olympics in high and triple jump and achieved PRs in both events while attending it.
My parents and coaches have sacrificed countless hours in shaping me into the athlete and competitor I am today, and I would not have been able to achieve many of my accomplishments without them. Competing at the next level for basketball has forever been a dream of mine and I have worked every day to fulfill that dream. I have yet to decide what I will major in college, but no matter what it is, I will constantly work to maintain good grades, while also working on my game for basketball. If given the opportunity, I know I would make an excellent addition to your team and school, as a leader on and off the court.
