My name is Evangeline Treece, and I have been playing basketball since I was 7 years old, although I didn’t start playing it competitively until 7th grade, when I joined the THESA Riders. And then in 10th grade I joined Dallas HSAA. For me, basketball is about having the most fun you possibly can. I wouldn’t be doing it if I didn’t love it. I love the team spirit, waking up early for games, and the butterflies you get before you play against a hard team. It genuinely brings me complete joy. I love being with my team and making memories, not just getting better personally, but getting better as a team! I love being on a team and cheering on all of my teammates, but the thing I love most is doing it all for God's glory. Dallas HSAA main goal is to do everything for the glory of God. I love praying before every practice and game, giving it all to the one who died for me. I’m thankful I am able to play this sport and enjoy it as much as I can. My future goal is to get on a D1 college basketball team and major in pre-law to become a lawyer someday. Although these are the things I want, the biggest thing I hope for is to follow the direction that God takes me.
