Josalyn Murphy '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josalyn Murphy. I am a Senior at Grand County High School. I am a 3x Varsity starter. I carry a 3.94 GPA. I currently rank 3^rd in the State for points averaged per game in 3A, I am also sitting top 10 in steals and assists. I am also the Captain of my Varsity team and am dedicated to leading my team to success. 

I have been playing basketball since I was 7 years old. From the first time I picked up a basketball, I was hooked. I am dedicated and hard-working in anything and everything I put my mind to. I understand that I am a student-athlete and that academics are incredibly important. I currently possess a 3.94 GPA and can assure you I take my studies in the classroom as seriously as I do my dedication to the game.  

I feel like I would be a great asset because I am the first athlete at practice and the last one to leave. I have an understanding that success does not come without hard work and dedication. I am passionate and driven. I am empathetic and kind. I get along well with many different personalities and put my team's success before that of myself.  My goals are to contribute early in my collegiate career, hopefully as a freshman. I am constantly striving to improve and make an impact. I am driven to help be a leader for success both on and off the court.
