There are three things about me that separate me from other high school basketball players; my passion for basketball, my character, and my academic drive.
I grew up in a basketball household. I have known from a very young age that I would like to play college basketball. I grew up with a mom who played college basketball and now have a sister who is playing college basketball. Since I grew up eating and breathing basketball, I believe that I have a high basketball IQ. I love basketball and I am determined to play at the next level.
I also grew up in a religious household where character matters. Recently I played in a game where I received a technical foul for saying a swear word. I was upset, not because I got a technical foul but because they were accusing me of swearing. My coach defended me to the refs knowing I am not a player who would swear on or off the court. In the household that I grew up I was taught that character matters and is important on and off the court.
I am naturally good at math and designing things is interesting to me. This leads me to believe that I would like to become an Architect. I am taking classes in high school to help prepare me for that. It is important to me that I get good grades and succeed in school.
I am a driven person who will work hard and is motivated to succeed on and off the court.
