I am very humble I work hard to perfect my craft and be the best I am can be. I will my all and never give up and I give my blood , sweat, and tears into the game that I love. I started playing basketball when I was in 6th grade and that was the first time I ever touched a basketball as well. I attended try-outs not fully understanding the concept of basketball just knowing I wanted to be included. Three days later after try-outs were over my middle school coach said I did not make the team. Of course, I was upset, devastated, and disappointed especially in myself. I knew I could accomplish so much more than what I displayed. However, I didn't practice that much and didn't really have much experience. So what did I do? I used this setback as my motivator to get better at basketball and focused more on my school work. Over time I progressed mentally and paid more attention to what was important. I studied, practiced, worked, pushed myself beyond my limits, which led to many days of crying, sweating and even bleeding. I put my all into basketball and transferred that energy into all areas of my life. It shaped my mentality going forward. I learned that it's not important when you fail or when you get overtaken by an obstacle but what you do in the aftermath. I've had a lot of losses and failures but one thing I've always done was recover…”after the breakdowns, of course”. Up until this point, I had been running from school, responsibilities, choices, life, and essentially from myself. I never had a family member to consistently lean on or to guide me. What I wanted for myself, I had to work for it. I had to visualize it for myself and put my dreams into action. Dreams are just blueprints to a future invention of success. However, because of my many shortcomings that shaped me into the young adult I am today. I am ambitious , hard working, resilient, and thrive at everything I do while uplifting everyone around me. I bring an abundance of unique solutions to every situation I interact with. I am no ordinary person, I am coach-able and take everything I do seriously as if it's my last. I think that's what life is all about learning and improving from every experience and getting the most out of it.
