As the youngest child in my family, I grew up watching my brother and sister play and practice basketball all the time. At a young age, I grew a love for this sport that I couldn’t yet play. I started practicing and playing against my siblings daily. Once I got older, I noticed that my life had a lot to do with basketball, whether it was watching, playing, or practicing. Once I started competing in fourth grade, I realized the importance of dedication and how that would affect the player I am. As I got older and saw my brother and sister head off to college to play basketball, I really realized how I wanted to follow that same path and play at the highest possible level. I spend 6-7 days a week in the gym working on my basketball skills to hopefully one day reach my high basketball goals. I feel I would be a great candidate to any team because of my communication, leadership, hard work 110% of the time, and always finding the best options in order to help my team win. Additionally, I strive to be the best teammate and the best player on the court each game and practice. My competitiveness pushes me to be better everyday, and I put forth maximum effort every moment. To reach my basketball goals, I realize that schooling is a major role and of most importance, which is why I make sure to always spend the time to get the best grades. I take the most challenging classes for me in order to push me to be a better student. The past year of the COVID-19 pandemic has also shown me to cherish the opportunity to be able to play the sport I love! I can guarantee that I will always be positive, dedicated, and willing to put in the extra work.
