Colette Wogsland '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

I am Colette. I play indoor and beach volleyball. I want to play beach full time but I continue to play indoor because I am learning so much as a player from my club coach Roger Worsley. I know most colleges are still using indoor players for their beach team and I want to offer as much as I can as a player. I also love my school team. I am working on bringing a beach team to our high school. I know what it takes to be a college athlete. I have 1 cousin that plays beach for University of Oregon. And another cousin that plays mens indoor at Pepperdine. My dad ran cross country at Cal Poly SLO. While I know, as a sophomore , that just got braces off my teeth....I am not the athlete you have on your team NOW. But I know I can be. I work harder and know how to dig deep in my soul. On the beach and on the court I will always strive to make my team mates  do and look their best. 

Personal tidbits about me. I attended a dual immersion elementary school and speak fluent Spanish. I am APSpanish 4 this year and will minor in it in college. I love to ski and I play the cello. Growing up I swam on swim team, played soccer,  tennis and softball. That was all before I got introduced to volleyball and age 9. I am part of National Charity League and spend time volunteering at the valley humane, special olympics and make a wish .
