Sports have always been a big part of my life. They have taught me to be a leader, to push myself, and to trust both myself and others. I am a dedicated athlete that puts school first. I am interested in studying political science or english literature while playing beach volleyball in college. My goal is to become a lawyer and to work in politics.
I had been playing indoor volleyball for about 5 years when I discovered beach. I stepped onto the sand for the first time for my tryout for SBVC and fell in love. I was terrible at first, but after a summer of playing beach week after week, I have rapidly improved and would love to take my game to the next level.
2019 will be my first season playing year round beach volleyball. This season I am also starting a beach team at my school, San Mateo High.
I am a fast, athletic, explosive defender who puts everything into each point. I read hitters well and serve receive consistently. I am a consistent setter and I use my hands often and efficiently. I am a positive, upbeat partner and I hold myself accountable for errors and work to correct them immediately after they are made.
My goal for this season is to gain 3-4 more inches on my vertical in order to become a more efficient hitter and blocker.
