Olivia Chychrun '22 Recruiting Profile

Sports has always been a big part of my life as I have been lucky enough to be exposed to many sports by my family.  This fuelled my passion for multiple sports and as a result, I am MVP on my school softball team, tennis team, and volleyball team (4 times). I also have a passion for equestrian. I rescued a thoroughbred from the race track in 2017 and I trained him to be a jumper in the Show Circuit. This experience has had a lot of ups and downs and has taught me patience, perseverance, and commitment.  All the hard work has paid off as I recently sold him to a professional.  

My volleyball experience began as a starter on my indoor volleyball teams (club and high school) has taught me that I am a very positive teammate and I pride myself on being able to make others around me better. My life motto is a quote by John Quincy Adams that states, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader".  I transitioned to beach volleyball recently because I am a very well rounded player, which is showcased on the beach court.  I am now at Club Med Academy in Florida, training full time in beach. 

I am currently on the honour roll and my goal is to continue this status throughout my high school and university career. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically since I have a thirst for learning.
