Participating in sports has always been part of my life since I was young. I played soccer and I did dance. I eventually started playing volleyball after I saw my sister play. After 5 years of indoor volleyball as a libero I started sand volleyball. In my last year of indoor volleyball, I started playing sand and fell in love. In 2018, I decided to only play sand volleyball. I now focus only on sand volleyball. It’s all I do besides school and a couple of other hobbies of mine. I am very dedicated. I practice three times a week for three hours with my coach and I practice on my own time. I have been playing some kind of volleyball for three years straight without a break. Since I'm homeschooled I have a lot of time to practice on my own time. I am only 5'2 so I'm normally the shortest player out of all the other 14 year olds. I understand that I must work harder since I'm shorter. I work hard to prove that being short doesn't mean you have a disadvantage. I set long and short time goals and fight to meet these goals.
One of my long term goals is to play in college. I will overcome being shorter by showing off my work ethic and skills I have developed. I always have a smile on my face and I love making people happy. I'm not sure what I want to do yet for a career, but what I do know is I want to play sand volleyball in college and go into ROTC to join the Air Force. My parents are both retired air force and hope to follow in their footsteps.
Aside from playing volleyball, I like to volunteer at church and local food pantry. I like to play video games when i have the free time. I work out with my parents and love traveling. My circle of friends is very small due to lack of time i can commit. My time is spent mostly on the sand because I'm very dedicated.
