I always grew up around the volleyball community, because my parents both play. When I was young I would get bored watching them play so I wanted them to teach me, so maybe someday I could play with them. I learned the basics, but never got an opportunity to develop my skills because my family and I lived in Guam and other locations that never gave me an opportunity for several years (we are a military family). Until we moved to Ventura, California, I was peppering with my father at Zuma beach so he could stay warm in between games. Then a coach walks up to me and invites me to join their club. OAKS Volleyball was one of the best experiences of my life, I learned so much in such a short period of time. This is where I developed my love for the game and decided that I want to play in college. Ever since then I have worked so hard to get extra reps in 24/7, and to keep my body in the best shape possible (I've become a gym rat). I know with proper workouts, and a healthy diet I can be the girl on the court who has the best vertical, can be faster, stronger, and pound the ball. I know with hard work, dedication, and grit will help me physically and mentally complete this long going goal to play collegiate level volleyball.
