Growing up, I have had the opportunity to play multiple sports, sing in the Seattle Opera Chorus, and perform in musicals and theatrical plays. I enjoy traveling, hiking and spending time with family and friends. A rewarding experience I have had is being selected to coach youth sports. It excites me to see their eagerness to learn and I am able to share some of the skills I have gained from my coaches with other athletes.
Academics continue to be a top priority for me. My focus is to maintain a 4.0 grade point while taking AP classes and graduate with honors in 2023. I have chosen a rigorous schedule and I appreciate the challenge. In college, I would like to maintain this standard.
Unfortunately we have had to experience loss during the pandemic. I worried about getting behind but realized I was better off looking at the positives. I used that time to practice on my own and do strength/agility with home videos. Today, I feel the excitement of being back participating in team sports and seeing my friends at school.
Although I can be hard on myself, my focus and self -discipline continue to keep me motivated to reach my goals. I am a hard worker who has the desire to succeed and am always looking to improve my skills. I am thankful to have a support system of those who believe in me.
Ultimately, after high school, I hope to attend a college/university offering academic excellence and a volleyball program where I am able to make a positive contribution and continue to enjoy this journey as a student athlete.
