Hello! My name is Kira HaWaaboo. I decided that playing volleyball in college was a goal of mine at the end of my Freshman year when I had the opportunity to switch positions to setter and right side. After learning the mechanics of the position, I fell in love with it. Playing up to U-18 has given me the confidence in my ability to be a leader on the court even if I was not comfortable at first. Several coaches have commented that I am very coachable and am willing to take instruction and apply it. Dedication, whether it be to my sport or my classes is also huge priority for me. I am a caring person who is always there to help a teammate when a need arises whether it be homework help or taping. Continuing to play during this pandemic has been a challenge (especially in Washington). I have had to focus on doing all of the workouts on my own and getting touches in whenever I can. Continuing to play volleyball as well as get an education is my focus for the future. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and I hope to hear from you.
