Joining diving my Junior year with no diving experience and only gymnastics experience was one of the best decisions. Not only did I fall in love with this sport in such a short amount of time I learned so much from it. Coming in on the first day only knowing how to do forward dives. By the end of my season, I had all categories; I was practicing my double backs, forward twisting double, and back one and a half dive. I put a lot of effort into this sport and especially this season, I showed up to practice every day and I took as many turns as I possibly could. I am a very driven and ambitious person who loves a challenge. I wanted to learn more and I wanted to get better but since the season was cut short because of Covid it was a challenge. I may not have a lot of diving experience and especially since I joined my Junior year but I have many years of gymnastics experience, and doing diving this year was something I enjoyed so much I want to continue with this sport.
