I would love to continue my sport of diving through college due to my strong passion for it. Even through struggles with back issues, I have persisted and kept a strong spirit, that of which I could add to my college team. The greatest triumph would be through a recent situation. Just before Christmas, I had a procedure done on my back. Unfortunately, this was 4 days before my Marion County Preliminaries. On that Tuesday, I came out of the procedure unable to walk. This continued through Thursday, with which I practiced limited activity. On Friday, the day of the preliminaries, I decided to dive, as well as I could at least. Little did I know that the very next day, the Marion County Finals, I would take 1st place. This would have to be the most defining moment of my competitiveness and determination.
In the classroom, I relay that determination and competitiveness as well. I take academics seriously, and know what it means to be a true student-athlete, in that order. I am a very hard worker, and it has gotten me the position of 7 in my class of around 550. I have true aspirations to do what I have always wanted, pursue Veterinary Medicine, and will work with everything I have to achieve it.
