Diving has been my passion since I first stepped on a diving board when I was 6 years old. I can't imagine it not being a huge part of my life. I'm excited to be a part of building a legacy and having the opportunity to represent a first class dive team for the ideal college. I'm a team player, I'm competitive and I want to keep working on a national level. In addition to my area of study, diving in college is very important to me. I am enthusiastic about diving and would rather be on a diving board than just about anywhere else. That's where I've felt at home for the last 10 years. I am looking for a program where I can make a valued contribution to the team, and build a camaraderie with my coach and teammates, while I continue to grow and mature as a diver. I’ve wanted to be a “Champion” since I was 6, although I thought being a champion meant winning and always being at the top. It is a significant commitment and a lot of dedication to become a winner, but I’ve learned that it’s not just winning that makes a champion. For me, diving has really been an instrument that has consistently assisted me in my journey. Through it all, I’ve learned that the JOURNEY really IS the prize – that’s where I’ve learned some of my most important qualities - sportsmanship, commitment, passion, empathy, honesty and integrity. Those are the things that I will take with me forever, long after my years of being an athlete have ended.
