I am a senior at Burns High School in Burns, Oregon. I currently have a GPA of 3.63 and was inducted into the National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars this year.
I travel 5 hours each direction for my 2 practices each weekend in Beaverton, Oregon. This allows me to continue working toward my collegiate goal of diving in college, but also allows me to stay focused on my shorter term goals of learning new dives and expanding my diving resume. While I am not able to compete for a High School Diving Team, I am still dedicated to taking every possible opportunity to participate as much as possible with the nearest diving club. I have only been practicing with my team, Tualatin Hills Diving Club, since February 2019, and I was a member of the 2019 AAU Red, White, & Blue National Diving Team.
Being a diver is a part of who I am. I wouldn’t be where or who I am today if it was not for this sport. Diving to me is a way to express myself and to show that I have no fear, and even if I do have fear – I am able to push past it and achieve any goal.
I am a diamond in the ruff and just need a chance. Diving full time again is something that I am really looking forward to!
