Ever since my parents installed a cheap plastic diving board to our backyard pool, my true love for the sport is fueled by my enjoyment I take out of it. I've always loved to push myself far outside my comfort zone, often 10 meters above the water with the risk of taking a big smack.
My sophomore year in high school, I had qualified for the 6a state meet, and got completely crushed by my competition, not knowing what I was up against. From that moment, I wanted nothing more than to train like the elites, and quit my local diving team, to dive with a college caliber coach. As I continue to improve myself, I found that I'm extremely grateful for all of the opportunities and friendships that I've made in the process, and the more I learn, the more I wish to learn.
