My name is Natalie Bialas. I participated in competitive gymnastics for over 8 years and competed as a level 9 gymnast. After quitting gymnastics in August 2020 due to back injuries I discovered diving. I started diving December 2020 and have been diving around 9 months total.
Growing up in the gym I learned what it takes to be dedicated to the sport. I became aware of the amount of commitment and effort that is required to reach my goals inside and outside of the gym. Transitioning to diving allowed me to use the physical and mental skills I had acquired in gymnastics.
I have only competed in one official meet, Region 7 Regionals May 2021 which I participated in after about 3 months of diving. *Just wanted to note that the score 300 in my key stats in inaccurate I was unable to fill in my actual score which was 169.1. Unfortunately, my high school does not have a diving team. I commute an hour to and from practice four days a week to practice with the Fox Valley Diving Club.
After discovering my love for the sport, I made it goal of mine to dive in college. I know I need a team of hardworking and supporting team mates and I want to be apart of a team that creates a fun but goal setting/ reaching environment. As an athlete I will bring a supportive and positive perspective to the team.
