Hi! My name is Elizabeth ("Liz") and I am a competitive junior golfer in Scottsdale, Arizona entering my junior year in high school. I started competing three years ago and my scoring average has progressively improved year-over-year. Playing in college is an aspiration of mine when combined with strong academics. I attend one of the leading academic high schools in the country, however as a charter school, we do not field a competitive golf team so my experience has come from tournament play. Even though golf is an individual sport (for the most part), the people you play with make the experience so much better which is why I look forward to contributing to a college team. As a National Honor Society member, I've taken many AP classes and I participate on a Mock Trial team in addition to golf. I am able to successfully balance my school work, golf, and a part-time job as shown by my 3.62 GPA and improving golf scoring average. I have an outgoing personality and enjoy connecting with others. I have been told that I am mature beyond my age and I wouldn't change that for the world. I always try to take my golf game seriously and work hard to improve, yet also to have fun, because if it's not fun, then what is the point?
