Growing up I went though many phases in search for my calling. Once I picked up Tae Kwon Do I stuck with it for 8 years. Tae Kwon Do impacted me in the best way possible. I was driven to be better then my opponent and that passion earned me my black belt. I would train everyday and I never settled until my technique was perfect. I competed in the U.S. open state qualifiers in Arizona where I took first place. Although Tae Kwon Do helped me understand the importance of perseverance, it also helped to mold me into the student athlete I am today. After becoming distant from Tae Kwon Do I decided to go to the driving range with my dad. The first time I swung a golf club was the first step into my journey. The same drive and passion from Tae Kwon Do translated to my golfing. I started playing golf as a Sophomore in high school, and picking up the game late has driven me to persevere and dedicate a lot of my time to the sport. That dedication earned me the opportunity to be the first girl golfer form my school to go to State in over 20 years. The experience helped me to realize that my mental game is something I need to work on and being able to qualify for State gave me the boost of confidence that I needed. Since then I have been working to improve my game and lower my scores. To be able to pursue a career in architecture and play at the college level is a goal that strive to reach. I have the passion, the drive, and the desire to continue to develop my game.
