Throughout my high-school career, all the big tournaments and 9-hole matches against other schools have helped me grow as a student-athlete. Although I have faced many obstacles along the way, I have determined to persevere and have courage even when it gets hard. As my high school golf team is one of the most competitive teams in the state, I have learned many things such as dealing with a lot of pressure, going to big events, and focusing on my game. And of course, I’ve learned to stay positive and have fun no matter what. During freshmen year, placing in tournaments such as the Ayala Tournament (1st place-even par), has given me confidence to see what I am capable of. Fortunately, being a part of an amazing golf team has given me the experience of winning CIF 3 years in a row as a team. One of my highlights throughout my high-school career was when our team finally made state championships for the first time in a while during my junior year placing 3rd overall as a team. Therefore, I learned the value of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and commitment. I believe I not only have the potential to compete for a college team, but the dedication, character, and leadership to become a part of your program.
