Erin Johnson '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Erin Johnson and I am in the class of 2021. 

I just finished my second year of High School golf where I was team Captain and we were the Wave League Champions, where I finished 2nd in the League Finals Tournament shooting rounds 73 and 72 (+5). I qualified for CIF-SS tournament play for the second year in a row making it to the Finals for the first time. I was also selected to 1st Team All League for the second time.

I have worked hard over the past three years, since picking up a golf club for the first time,  practicing 5 days a week, and my scores over the last year have gotten better. My scoring average in Tournaments is 76.6, and my 9 hole average during my High School season was 37.5 with a low round of -4 under 32. But I continue to work on my game because I can still improve. 

I am straight "A" student with a 4.2 GPA. I am a member of our schools ASB and as well as the Model United Nations program.  Because I have these extra commitments I have developed good time management skills. This will help me in college because I know teams travel a lot and I will miss some classes. 

My goals after high school are to get a great education, play college golf on a team where I can compete at the next level and help my team reach its goals. I know I will be a good addition to the college team that offers me the opportunity to play. I am a very positive, dedicated, and competitive individual. I have been able to balance heavy academic requirements and a busy golf schedule by managing my time wisely. But, I am also a very fun person that enjoys life and can keep the mood light when needed.   I am excited for you to view my profile and follow me because I am getting better and better.
