Personal Statement

Ever since I was eight years old, golfing has been my passion.  Nothing makes me happier than being out on the course, as I strive to learn and improve my game.  I am often complimented on my positive attitude and demeanor.  My six years as a competitive team gymnast taught me to pursue a hard work ethic in order to achieve my dreams.

With my powerful drive and my short game, I feel I can contribute to almost any team.  However, I also am well-balanced between golf and my academic career.  I have dreamed of being a collegiate athlete and pursuing higher education for as long as I can remember.  Being on a university team with girls who have the same dream to excel at both golf and academics is my optimal goal.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • FCG National Tour Desert Fall Junior
  • 11/27/21 to 11/28/21
  • In this event, I shot 75-74 for a total of 149, and I placed T12. I was a little disappointed that I didn't improve my score more on the second day and make certain corrections. I know I need to work on my irons as I was relying on my shortgame the first day a lot. There were no double bogeys on my scorecard which was good, but now I just need to eliminate those unnessecary bogeys!
  • Camp/Event
  • FCG Socal Championship
  • 11/06/21 to 11/07/21
  • I placed T2 with a 74-69 for a total of 143 (+1) after two days. I was happy with my round on the second day as I hit 16 greens and was consistent in total. I learned lots of valuable information from this round and had fun!
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Fox Sports at Mission Viejo
  • 6/21/21 to 6/22/21
  • At this three round AJGA I shot 73-77-81. On the first day we played 36 holes, which was fun but tiring! As this was my first 36 hole tournament in one day, and I gained lots of experience from it. I was disappointed in my finish, but I was glad to make the cut and have fun.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA FOX Sports at Mission Viejo Qualifier
  • 6/18/21 to 6/18/21
  • Today at this qualifier i was happy to shoot 73(+1). After 3 playoff holes, I made a 15 foot putt for birdie to qualify to the tournament.
  • Camp/Event
  • AJGA Se Ri Pak Desert Junior Qualifier
  • 6/13/21 to 6/13/21
  • I shot 77 in this event. I started off strong in the front nine, yet my putting started to fall short on the back. i learned i need to work on my 6-8 foot putts. overall a fun event! the 109 degree weather wasn’t ideal though.
  • Camp/Event
  • CIF Team State Event
  • 6/10/21 to 6/10/21
  • After our team won CIF in Division 2, we qualified to the next round where i shot 76(+4). there were 30 mph winds and i gained lots of experience for playing in such conditions.
  • Camp/Event
  • FCG Memorial Championship 2021
  • 5/29/21 to 5/30/21
  • In this 2 day FCG tournament, i shot 72,76(148). in this intense heat(104 degrees) i learned a lot and discovered i needed to work on my irons.
