I started playing golf at age 11. I have been playing golf competitively for 5 years. I was a competitive dancer for 10 years where I danced on Carnival cruise ships and with the Radio City Rockettes. I stepped away from dance last year to focus on golf to be able to score low enough to play in college. 5 years ago, I shot a 124 for 18 holes in my first tournament; and last year, I shot a low score of 81. In addition to playing on the varsity girls' golf team for my third year and being in a leadership role on the team, I am the FFA President for the top high school FFA chapter in the Southern region and one of the top FFA Chapters in the nation, raise market animals for fair, compete on the NHS floral team, earned industry certifications in communications and floral design and volunteer through my local NHS FFA chapter, Corona Life Services, Calvary Chapel Corona, Loaves and Fishes x10 and other organizations to help those in need. My future goal is to be a livestock veterinarian and I plan on studying the sciences in college.
I aspire to play on a collegiate golf team because I want to experience all that college has to offer academically, athletically, socially and spiritually. I am a good candidate for any golf team because I will be a positive ambassador for any school, am a great teammate and an excellent student. What sets me apart from other recruits is that I am disciplined, have held important leadership positions at my high school, have good time management skills, spend countless hours practicing and improving my game, was 1 of 21 students selected, out of over 1,000 students, to be a part of the Every 15 Minutes Program at my school this year and am currently in the top 8% of my class.
