Having grown up playing golf, it has become more than a sport to me but also a part of my identity. When I step onto the golf course, no matter if it is just a practice round or an important tournament, I feel at peace. I am excited to play and always want to put my best foot forward. Though academics are incredibly important to me, golf is something that is already a part of me. Golf has taught lessons, such as patience, perseverance, and problem solving, that I carry with me through all of my academic courses, tournaments, and life in general. Playing golf has also allowed me to break through my shell more and helped me meet some of my dearest friends. I hope to carry these traits that golf has taught me into college and the rest of my life.
