Hi I am Annabelle Aguirre, I am a Junior at Grover Cleveland Charter High School and I am in the CORE program at my high school. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to go to an elite college. It has been a dream of mine, and I am hoping to make it reality within the next two years. I want to go to college to hopefully double major in history and literature. From there I want to go to law school to pursue becoming a lawyer, specifically a prosecutor, working as a D.A. This future career of mine no longer feels like a goal, I have this feeling that it will happen and I am very excited to see it turn out. My current goal is to eventually become a judge after being a lawyer for many years. I want to be able to make an impact on people’s lives and I hope I will be able to do this through this career, no matter the work it takes. I would say I make a good candidate because I have developed my characteristics through the many experiences I have gone through. I know how to persevere through tough times as I have encountered many injuries throughout life, but I always managed to overcome them and to continue on. As well because I was a competitive gymnast for ten years I built my time management, hard working, and independent skills from this experience. I have many qualities that I think colleges look for that are essential in sports for managing to balance school, personal, and sports life. I think if colleges get to know me, they will see why I am so unique.
