  2. Other Achievements:School: 4.0/4.7 GPA, Yearbook Editor, Link Crew Leader (help incoming freshmen), National Honor Society, CSF (California Scholarship Federation) & NHHS (National History Honor Society)Leadership & Volunteerism: 3 year member of Governing Body of the Assisteens of San Pedro South Bay (150+ hours last year), Presidential Service Award- 3 year recipient, Angel Award- 3 year recipient, & Palos Verdes Assembly member.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:I am an extremely hard worker, which is demonstrated by my success in school as well as my dedication to all of my activites such as golf, yearbook or being a leader with my volunteer organizations. Additionally, through my involvement in multiple activities I have developed great time management skills allowing me to complete school work efficiently and with time for family, friends and golf.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I am very supportive of defined goals and objectives and I encourage others to perform and do their best. I am looking to join and help lead a group of young ladies who are well rounded people who have become good golfers and an environment where we win as a team. I am desirous of teammates that will be my friends on and off the course.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:A university which also offers an undergraduate program in business/economics to prepare me for law school. The university must have a sound academic program and reputation and be supportive of collegiate athletics. The desired golf program features peers and coaches that will help me grow as a golfer and individual with teammates that are equally as driven to compete as I am. As a current team captain I am gaining great experience in leading and helping my teammates compete regardless of their current golf abilities.
  6. My college goals are:I am interested in different aspects of business administration and I want to have a well rounded educational challenge which prepares me for future law studies. A significant part of my undergraduate program experience will include playing 4 years of collegiate golf and being a contributing member of at least one (!) National Championship team, perhaps an Individual Championship ;-), and All-American nominations for play and academics.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:I am looking for a college golf coach that will push and encourage me everyday to get better as a golfer and offer insightful instruction when needed. Ultimately, it would be great to have a coaching & university experience that would create a life long relationship with the coaching staff and alumnus relationship to give back to the university and support future student-athletes.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are:The strengths of my golf game are my ball striking & distance with all of my clubs. Typical driver distance: 250+ yards. I think that since I have played for only a little over 3 years that I have a lot of room to improve my overall golf game. I am very competitive & I am learning how to properly channel that into executing whatever shot is required at important points during a round of golf.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:I am consistently working to improve my game from 50 yards and in - pitching, chipping, & putting. I read greens well & I am working on my distance control on the green. I am fortunate to have access to very experienced and competent golfers who continually help me develop new ways to approach different situations that helps my shot making creativity and golf "smarts" in order to post low scores.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because:I am hard working, disciplined & have a practice plan to improve my athletic abilities. I truly love golf, & even when bad days occur I am willing to use the disappointing days to fuel my passion during practice & when I need to perform under pressure. My golf swing is fundamentally strong, & my game will continue to benefit from that as the more consistent I become, the lower my scores will go. Although I am enjoying high school, I am really looking forward to my college experience. I know that by the time I get to college I will be able to compete at the highest levels of collegiate golf. Since I live in Southern California, one of the most competive areas for junior golf, I have been able to watch very skilled players and learn skills that I otherwise would not have been exposed to. This has given me more drive and focus during my practice time and at the same time I realize that I am playing a sport and as a result I need to improve my overall athletic ability. I have a supportive family that encourages me to pursue my various interests in order to become a well-rounded adult.
