One of my favorite personal mantras is “Don’t ever let anyone turn your sky into a ceiling” by Rita Zaharia. I am a junior from a Catholic High School who has dedicated myself to work hard with a 3.8 GPA, create my own path at the age of 11 by starting a non profit organization, A Very Good Deed, 501 (c)3, and have challenged and pushed myself as the only girl on a Boys High School Golf Team. I have found my passion and love for golf and have drive every day to push myself to be the very best by asking my coaches and teammates for feedback both on and off the course. My big dreams include being a collegiate athlete and earning a Business degree with a minor in Social Media and Digital Marketing.
As a fighter I work hard every day to improve my mental and physical game with 5AM strength training 3 times a week. I have learned to be an early bird because it offers me the most time and energy to devote to my golf game and balance my academic goals and personal goals to build a better community through my volunteer work. 2020 was a game changer for my golf game because the pandemic afforded me the opportunity to focus and spend every extra minute of the day on the course. I am grateful for the opportunity to discover my true passion for golf after many years of frustration shooting in the 90s. I have learned that in golf and in life the importance in having a growth mindset, creating a process, and being optimistic. One of my greatest moments was shooting par for the first time and realizing that having a positive attitude and working hard sticking to the process would allow me the opportunity to consistently shoot in the 70s.
I will continue to fight every day for my dreams of playing Golf in college and channel my passion for golf, grit to push me to be my very best, and optimism to be the best leader and teammate who is motivated and dedicated to building a legacy for my College, Golf Team, and Coaches.
