As a rising junior in high school, I aspire to obtain a medical science degree and play golf at a collegiate level. I want to pursue a career in medicine and I am hoping that college will provide me insight into the different types of medical professions. I have now been playing golf for two years and have learned that it requires a specific type of mentality to play with proper composure and precision. I have also learned that the mentality demanded from golf benefits me academically. Golf has taught me the importance of focus and patience which I find very critical in advancing academically and athletically. I only hope that going forward I will be able to play golf at a collegiate level and obtain a well rounded education that hopefully focuses on medical science.
