When I was around the age of five, my dad took me to the course and let me hit range balls with him. I don’t remember the exact events of the day, but I will never forget when I hit my sister’s old driver past the 100 yard marker. It felt amazing. Around age nine, I started playing competitively. From the beginning, I have loved the thrill of sinking a putt or splitting the fairway with my drive. I love that golf gives the opportunity to work hard individually and in a team setting. I love that golf creates connections and relationships. I love that women are excelling in a male dominated sport.
I am highly motivated, confident, and team oriented. I always challenge myself to be one step ahead of where I was yesterday on and off the course. I have a 4.0 GPA in honors, AP, and college classes. I am active in Beta Club, SkillsUSA, Lauren's Youth Leadership, and my churches youth group. On Mondays and Thursdays I share the game with two sweet young girls who are just beginning their golfing journey, and every other day of the week I tutor at the local elementary school before I head over to the course for practice.
Currently, I am working with my coach on shaping shots, and building distance while maintaining efficiency. I plan to become a state champion golfer. My goal is to become a student athlete while pursuing a career in dentistry.
