Hello!! My name is Mia Cepeda, I'm currently 16 years old & from Oahu Hawaii. I've been playing golf my whole life, I love it more than anything & truly hope to become a professional when I'm older
Here are some of my accomplishments -
In 2019 I made it to the Drive Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National
In 2021 I played in the Champions Tour Pure Insurance First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, & shot 66 & 68 with my own ball at Pebble
In 2021 I placed 4th / 78 players at the FCG international in San Diego in 2021 shooting 72, 67, 71 (-6).
In the Hawaii State Championships for High School I got T8 / 64 shooting 74, 72. (& I tied with my sister who is one year younger than me & got 5th at IMG Junior Worlds in 2021 and 7th this year, Ava Cepeda)
& I qualified for the US Girls Junior in Olde Stone, Kentucky this summer after playing in a 6 hole playoff with 2 other girls for the final spot. My sister also qualified and we were one of two sister pairs in the tournament.
Also, my family and I are very involved with The First Tee organization. My dad is a head coach at 2 courses, my mom coaches, & both my sister and I volunteer coach every week for around 4 years now. I really love The First Tee, & I think being involved in it has made me a better golfer and person.
I love history & Speech and Debate. I do debate competitions for my school, & hope to major in Political Science.
Outside of golf I also like surfing, working out, playing guitar and everything music related.
I think I'd be a great fit to any team because I'm extroverted & super passionate about golf. I played soccer for 10 years so I love team settings, and I've learned to get along with & work with people through Speech and Debate.
You can text or email me at any time, thank you for all your support to womens golf!!
